Coding Inks.

Cap Coder inks have been carefully formulated for use in the food, pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries. All materials used are non-carcinogenic. Aniline dyes are suspended in a solvent and resin base which provides excellent adhesion, fast drying and optimum clarity on all the normal packaging materials including plastics, board, metals and glass. The screw top jars in which Cap Coder inks are supplied promote clean handling and are easy to seal properly when not required.

Capsules provide constant flow.

Cap Coder ink capsules will not flood or dry out and will continue to pass ink to the type face in the correct volume so as to produce an imprint of the right weight, whether printing at two hundred per minute or two hundred per day. About 50,000 imprints per capsule are possible (sell by date using 2.5mm type) before any attention is necessary and, in some cases, many more imprints than this are possible. The completely flat inking face of the Cap Coder capsule allows the type face to rest gently upon it. There is no ‘squelch’ effect as the type is pushed into a pad, as is the case with some cheap capsules using polyether foam.

Range of colours.

An extensive range of colours, including black, blue, red, green, yellow, orange, brown and white is available and reactivating solvent is also available from stock as required. Cap Coder always has available a wide selection of inexpensive typefaces in both alphanumeric and numeric fonts. Faces available include standard Roman in x-heights from 1.5mm to 10mm and Condensed in x-heights from 3mm to 10mm. Both are available in standard or hard rubber ex-stock. Individual characters or logotypes can be selected to mount on the ribbed rubber sheet of the coding print head. In cases where the ribtype styles are unsuitable and a one-piece logo is to be preferred, choose a polymer stereo (see below).

Contents of fonts.

All Cap Coder typefaces may be purchased either in ‘A’ sets or ‘C’ sets. The ‘A’ set consists of: 7 each, letters A, E, N. 5 each, letters B, C, D, F, G, H, I, J, K, L, M, O, P, R, S, T, U, V, W, Z 3 each, Q, X, Y. 2 each, figures 0-9 and hieroglyphics The ‘C’ set consists of: 9 each, figures 0-9 and hieroglyphics

Logotypes.

Logotypes, in the context of coding equipment and type, are any combination of letters and/or figures, moulded as one piece. For any constantly used brand name, legend, word or address, logotypes save a great deal of time and trouble and help to eliminate errors. Cap Coder is pleased to supply logotypes to meet your requirements - individual letters or figures may also be ordered separately if required. Standard (grey) rubber characters will provide excellent results for most purposes butt hard grade (black) rubber often produces sharper definition on harder materials such as metal, glass and harder plastics, and is often beneficial for bottom coding applications. Standard logo dates are available from stock, JAN to DEC, 01 to 31, BEST BEFORE and BB all in various sizes.
